Laser hair removal haram? question: as-salaam ‘alaykum warahmatullah, my question is: is it permissible for a woman to remove facial hair (cheeks, upper lips etc) by means of the laser treatment, instead of waxing, threading etc.. Best answer: present day organized islam would say haram, they declare every thing haram what ever their 'scholars' declare. the truth is even prophets/mesengers didnt have any authority to make haram/halal as it is the sole prerogative of allah allmighty, which is clearly prescribed in scripture.. [relating from imam nawawi] that plucking of the facial hair is haram (unlawful) for a woman with the exception of moustache or beard hairs (mirqat al-mafatih 8:218).. 1 – is it haram to have laser hair removal done? 2 – if it is not haram, is there any places which should be left alone e.g. i know women are not allowed to laser their eyebrows, and men are not allowed to laser their beards.. 95891: ruling on having pubic hair removed with a laser by a female doctor is it permissible to uncover it in the presence of a female doctor to remove it with a laser? please note that the hair is very thick and it is too difficult to remove with a razor or by plucking, which irritates the skin..
